Web Designer Position

The Web Designer is responsible for creative concepts and execution of Web sites, applications, banner ads and motion graphics.

Daily Tasks Include:

• Design Web sites, banner ads, email blasts, applications
• Front-end programming (ActionScript and XHTML/CSS)
• Present design solutions to creative director and clients
• Research latest trends, methods and software for Web design and development

Opportunities for growth:

• Research and pitch new ideas to clients with creative director
• Learn new skills and software (e.g., programming languages, video and sound editing, After Effects, etc.)
• Develop web design standards and procedures
• Become involved in the Chicago design community

  Although the design itself is simple and intuitive, to understand what the page is about the user needs to search for the answer. This is what an unnecessary question mark is. It’s designer’s task to make sure that the number of question marks is close to 0. The visual explanation is placed on the right hand side. Just exchanging both blocks would increase usability.
